Almond eyes (top), just like their name, are shaped like almonds where they are roundest towards the outer eyes. (the top eyes in the photo also appear to be down turned)
Round eyes (bottom) are roundest towards the middle of the eyes. (the bottom eyes in the photo also appear to be close set)
Monolid eyes (top) have no clear crease or a very faint one when open.
Hooded eyes (bottom) have extra skin folding down from the brow bone to the lash line. This can make eyes appear droopy or smaller than they are.
Close Set eyes (top), have inner corners that set close to the bridge of the nose. You will have a secondary eye shape but the main characteristics is being close set. The top eyes are close set and almond, although the choice of mascara style makes them look rounder.
Wide Set eyes (bottom) have inner corners that set far from the bridge of the nose. You will have a secondary eye shape but the main characteristics is being wide set. The bottom eyes are wide set and hooded.
Deep Set eyes (top) are set deeper in the eye socket, which creates the illusion of a more prominent brow bone.
Protruding eyes (bottom) create the appearance of projected lids in the eye socket area. The extra lid space gives you plenty of room to get creative with your makeup!
Up Turned eyes (top) have outer corners that tilt upwards.
Down Turned eyes (bottom) have outer corners that tilt downwards.
